Võhu Cheese Factory was founded in 2013. in West-Viru County by the company Delikatess Food OÜ, with the aim of offering high quality and natural cheese products. The cheese factory focuses on traditional methods and local ingredients, creating products that emphasise authenticity and purity of flavour.

Handmade cheese straws have received special recognition. Local cow’s milk is used to make bryndza, which is then stretched into cheese yolks using hot water and a stretching technique. These patsas are smoked in a lemon smoke for six hours, which gives them a unique and rich flavour. At the moment, the Võhu cheese factory produces an average of 2,000 cheeses a week.

The company’s products carry the prestigious “Genuine Farm Food” and “Recognised Estonian Taste” labels. Under the Delikatess brand, you’ll find all-natural smoked cheese and sausage, with recipes that are homemade and E-free.

Where to find

Võhu Cheese Factory’s products are available in well-stocked stores all over Estonia, such as Selver and COOP Market, and are represented at summer fairs.
